Brief description of seminar:
Frequently, an old conviction can interfere with your ability to maintain your job, obtain a security clearance or even obtain financial aid when pursuing your education. You may be eligible for an expungement which is a legal procedure which “conceals” your criminal or disorderly persons conviction under certain circumstances.
Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions about the expungement process.
The presentation includes:
- Who is eligible
- Types of records that can be expunged
- Time requirements
- How to file
- What happens at the expungement hearing
- Forms will be provided
